When you think and respond to life proactively, everything can be a conscious choice based upon calm, mindful, engaged, fear-less awareness. If you think and respond to life reactively, everything is perceived through a subconscious lens of fear and/or its siblings anger, jealousy, guilt, frustration, resentment, defensiveness, self-loathing, etc. Either one is a learned pattern in the mind of relating to what's happening in the present moment.

 

I offer a mindful, holistic approach to helping clients and students attain greater balance between their conscious and subconscious mind, which in turn allows for increased mind-brain-body synergy. We don't spend loads of time together mucking around in the past trying to isolate all the really good reasons and great excuses and to assess and assign blame as to why you are not living with positive mind/brain/body synchronicity in the present, because no matter what has happened to you, you are at choice as to how you will respond to it, from this moment forward. You have the ability to deliberately re-mind yourself as to how you relate to life, with its continuous peaks and valleys, twists and turns, and whether you will be at the helm, or merely a passenger in the journey from your first breath to your last. Even the greatest and most painful life challenges hold lessons and blessings if we allow ourselves to discover them - and trust me, I say this from experience.

 

Mindfulness, practiced with focused intention and panache, allows you to pay attention and recognize which way your mind is heading, and to purposefully move out of negative, unproductive auto-pilot mode into more positive and productive states of awareness on all levels, where both your conscious and subconscious mind can work together, not in opposition. Observing, owning, and letting go of ingrained and disempowering behavioral patterns, debilitating thoughts and negative self-talk can open up doors of perception and possibilities previously unavailable to you. The more equilibrium there is between your conscious and subconscious mind, the more successful you will be in whatever you deem important: relationships, family life, career, avocational goals, education, and personal well-being. My mindfulness-centered coaching and teaching tools and techniques are designed to assist you in this process.

 

Just as it is imperative to exercise regularly to attain strength and tone in your physical body, in order to break out of your unproductive and buggy old internal operating system and upgrade to a new and more empowering one, you need a conscious, committed and consistent practice. Merging mindfulness with both guided and self-hypnosis, imagery and radically honest conscious self-inquiry allows you to be purposeful and present, bringing greater accountability to the thoughts, choices, actions and behaviors you take in every moment of every day.

My clients and I are in a partnership, and we work together in steady, incremental steps to move through the subconscious barriers to successful self-improvement, empowerment and greater mind/brain/body balance - that in many cases, whose self-defeating patterns took years to create. It takes a strong, courageous and purposeful focus to break through your personal status quo and make change last. I coach and teach clients to understand the power of both their conscious and subconscious mind, to take responsibility for their shadow tendencies and the impact they have upon others and themselves -- and also to believe in their strengths and abilities and to begin to think and live life differently.

The good news is you can choose to think differently, and stop driving with your brakes on. With courage, honesty, grace and hard work, you can upgrade your internal operating system, learn how to love, accept, respect and forgive yourself, and break the cycle of self-sabotage that prevents you from moving forward in a positive, empowered manner.

Besides the tools of mindfulness, self-inquiry, hypnosis and therapeutic imagery, the most important things I can give you are my full attention, a safe place to express yourself, a sense of fun and adventure, both compassionate "tough love" and positive assistance in the process of personal change and growth, and heartfelt, encouraging support.

how it works

Online Sessions:

 

One-on-one Mind-Body Coaching sessions are available via web-based video coaching on Skype® to clients in the United States or Canada (and elsewhere on a case-by-case basis) so you can schedule appointments in the comfort of your own home, office or anywhere you can have a peaceful, uninterrupted environment with a comfortable chair, a strong broadband connection and the use of a web camera and headphone or headset. As it is imperative for me to be able to observe physical cues from you, telephone sessions alone are not available.

 

One of the major benefits of online sessions for both myself and my clients is not being limited to working with local clientele only - and, when I travel, scheduling appointments is still possible. And even though you are alert and energized following a session, it is much more pleasant to not have to get into a car and drive. Online sessions also help to lower my overhead, and I am then able pass those savings on to all clients, both online and in person.

 

And yes, you can be hypnotized and guided in imagery and meditative practices easily and naturally via Skype™.

In Person sessions are available in areas where I am conducting workshops and trainings - please contact the office for more information.

It is imperative that my clients and I are a good "fit" for one another. This means not only do I feel confident that my services can be helpful for your specific needs, but it also means there must be a natural rapport and dynamic that flows between us. To that end, the first thing I ask of any prospective client or group is to assess their needs.

 

For prospective private clients, that entails filling out and returning to me a detailed Intake Questionnaire that will answer lots of questions about you up front and save both of us a lot of time. If it sounds like we are a good match, then I schedule a complimentary 20 - 30 minute interview via Skype™ for both of us to see whether we do have a good rapport. If we both feel good about the dynamics after our initial chat, after that, it's up to you to take the next step and choose to book one-on-one sessions. If I feel you will be best served in another way, I will offer that suggestion to you. And in some instances, you will need a written referral from your licensed medical doctor or psychotherapist.

No obligation necessary, and you not be contacted unless and until after you return it and would like to set up a complimentary 20 - 30 minute interview via Skype™. Your email address will not be added to any lists without your permission.

For prospective groups or teams it's a bit different, and we discuss everything during an initial complimentary phone chat and possible Skype™ chat, depending upon the situation. Please contact the office for more information.
